She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF) from 2001 to 2005. She has been a professor at the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o de Apoio \u00e0 Escola T\u00e9cnica (FAETEC) since 2005 and has been seconded to UENF since September 2011, where she teaches Plant Physiology.
