Professors

The Faculty engage more in dialogue than they profess: knowledge is the fruit of collective involvement.

Just as one prepares a meal, where ingredients and flavors are arranged harmoniously, the pursuit of understanding diverse agroecosystems also combines different knowledges, be they academic or popular. The dialogue of knowledges is fundamental in this pedagogical “cooking.” The MPADRS professors act as facilitators in the journey of learning-by-doing, on the profound path of listening, and in valuing one’s own perspective, that of others, and the collective view. In this way, there is a greater possibility of encompassing topics ranging from management and commercialization techniques to those such as gender, popular organization, struggles for land, housing, work, agrarian reform, etc.

The permanent and collaborating faculty of the MPADRS are organized according to the course’s own modules; however, they interact and have strong interconnections across the different fields of knowledge.
