Research Line 1 – State, Political Institutions, Market, and Inequality

This line encompasses studies on democracy, the relationship between the state and the market, political participation, and inequality. It focuses on the dynamics and networks of civil society and social movements within the context of contemporary transformations in Brazil. It also includes research on political behavior and public policies in their various dimensions (policy, politics, and polity).

Research Line 2 – Culture, Territorialities, and Power

This line comprises research on cultural practices and social interactions, integrating theoretical and empirical dimensions. It includes studies that explore artistic, religious, and intellectual expressions, as well as dilemmas, controversies, and conflicts in public and institutional spaces. The line engages with investigations on territorialities and power, problematizing the “society-space-time” system in contemporary settings.
